Visit to Ashoka University

On 28 March 2024, a visit was made to Ashoka University located in Sonipat, Haryana. 25 students of class XII and 2 teachers, Ms. Ravneet Kaur and Sh. Vinod Thakur, visited the university. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the academic offerings, facilities, and overall atmosphere of the university.

On reaching the university, students were taken to the mess for sumptuous breakfast. It was followed by a small presentation about the university. Ashoka University follows the liberal education system where in the students can choose to attain undergraduate degree in one major and the subjects which interest them. Introduction about the admission process was given. 

It was followed by a university tour where the students were taken around the campus. They were shown the residential area in the campus, the classrooms, laboratories, sports area and other facilities available to the students within the campus which included salon, food stalls and outlets, gym facilities, etc. The university tour was followed by lunch in the university mess. 

The visit to Ashoka University provided students and teachers with valuable insights into the institution’s academic ethos, facilities, and campus life. It served as an enriching experience, fostering curiosity and appreciation for liberal education principles. Students expressed enjoyment and gratitude for the opportunity to explore Ashoka University’s campus. They found the visit informative and inspiring, igniting interest in pursuing higher education in a liberal arts environment.
