Prioritizing Mental Health

Prioritizing Mental Health # Mental Health Awareness Month # May 2024 # SPSMV # Universal Values

Month of May marks Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues, breaking the stigma surrounding them, and advocating for support and resources for those in need. Now, more than ever, it’s crucial to prioritise mental health and well-being as people navigate the complexities of their lives.

At SPSMV the students were sensitized about the emotional wellbeing through workshops, presentations, showing videos one to one counselling, quiz, poster making and debates. The students spoke to the counsellor sharing their mental agony.

As Mental Health Awareness Month was observed, SPSMV is committed to breaking down barriers, challenging stigma, and promoting a culture of compassion and acceptance. Thus, self-care, check in on our loved ones, and advocate for policies and initiatives that support mental health at home, in the workplace, and in communities need to be prioritised.

Together, we can create a world where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health, and where everyone has access to the care and support they deserve.
