Orientation Programme for Parents of Classes X and XII

Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar organised an Orientation Programme for parents of classes X and XII students to familiarise them with the school’s policies, expectations, and academic framework, for the session 2025-2026. The session aimed to foster seamless collaboration between parents, students, and the school, particularly during the critical board years that shape a student’s future.
The programme commenced with an address by Capt Richa Sharma Katyal (Retd), Principal, who emphasised the school’s vision of nurturing responsible and empowered citizens. Parents were introduced to the assessment and promotion policy, which aligns with CBSE guidelines, mandating 75% attendance and consistent performance in examinations. The significance of ethical digital behaviour, school safety measures, and disciplinary regulations were also highlighted. Moreover, various parenting styles were discussed, with a suggestion to adopt a more balanced and supportive approach.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where parents received guidance on communication channels, uniform regulations, and their role in supporting their child’s academic journey. The school reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating a structured and supportive environment for students. The session was concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Preeti Jain, the School Counsellor.
