NATURE WALK (KAMLA NEHRU BIODIVERSITY PARK)

On 14.12.2024, Kids for Tigers organized a rejuvenating nature walk at Kamla Nehru Biodiversity Park on Kamla Nehru Ridge, Civil Lines. Five students and one teacher from Salwan Public School joined participants from 14 other schools. The walk aimed to create awareness about biodiversity and the importance of flora in daily life.

Resource persons Mr. Neeraj Mitra and Mr. Harkishan Ji guided the students, showcasing resident and invasive plant species. They shared knowledge about the uses of plants like Vajradanti, Babool, Giloy, and Amaltas. Students observed the butterfly conservatory and noted the abundance of monkeys in the park.

The walk provided an enriching experience for the participants, deepening their appreciation for nature. All students received participation certificates as recognition of their involvement in this eco-awareness initiative.

The event successfully blended learning with exploration, leaving students inspired to value and protect the environment.
