Educational Trip to National Museum
On Friday, 16 August 2024, a group of 59 students and 4 teachers from our school embarked on an educational visit to the National Museum, New Delhi. The visit was organised in collaboration with the Visual and Performing Arts Department and the Humanities Department, highlighting the importance of culture and art as the backbone of society.
Upon arrival, students were guided through the museum’s extensive collections by knowledgeable museum personnel. They had the opportunity to explore artifacts ranging from the prehistoric period to the Mughal era, gaining a deep understanding of India’s rich historical and cultural heritage. The exhibits offered a vivid portrayal of the evolution of Indian art, culture, and civilization over thousands of years.
One of the highlights of the visit was the virtual tour of the Ajanta Caves. Through advanced technology, students experienced the stunning murals and sculptures of this UNESCO World Heritage site, which brought to life the artistic achievements of ancient India.
The visit proved to be an enriching experience for the students, fostering an appreciation for the country’s cultural legacy. The exposure to such diverse and historically significant artifacts will undoubtedly inculcate cultural values in the students, helping them develop a deeper connection with their heritage. The visit was not only educational but also an inspiring journey through the annals of history.
