ALUMNI MEET – MILAP 2.0

 Milap 2.0, the much-awaited alumni meet of Salwan Public School, was a grand celebration of memories, friendships, and shared experiences. The event brought together around 80 alumni from all across the country and faculty members, to relive their cherished school days and reconnect with their alma mater. 

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, and setting the tone for a day filled with nostalgia. The hosts extended a warm and a cordial welcome to the alumni, embracing them amidst the esteemed presence of Principal Capt. Richa Sharma Katyal, Director Maj. Gen Ajay Khandpur, Vice Principal Smt. Bhawna Puri, and Headmistress Smt. Sheetal Kapoor. Their presence reinforced the deep-rooted bond shared between the institution and its former students.

As the event unfolded, the atmosphere was further enriched with words of wisdom from our Honourable Principal, Capt. Richa Sharma Katyal. She addressed the gathering, reminiscing about the school’s illustrious history and emphasising upon the importance of maintaining strong ties with one’s alma mater. Special recognition was given to Abhishek Faujdar and Aayushi Gupta, the first registrants for the event, highlighting their enthusiasm and spirit. 

A heart-warming video montage of school memories transported attendees back in time, evoking emotions of joy and nostalgia. This was followed by an engaging address by Sh. Ashish Kumar, President of Salwan Public School Old Students’ Association (SPOSA), who shared reflections on the enduring legacy of Salwan. 

The alumni actively participated in various interactive sessions, including an open mic where they shared fond memories and humorous anecdotes. A fun quiz challenged them to recall personal memorabilia and cherished habits, and a special segment featured surprise messages from their founder Principal and older mentors, bringing an element of delightful reminiscence. 

 A sing-along session led by Shashwat Bose (Batch 2021) and Jaideep brought back assembly memories, uniting everyone through music. Each alumnus received a personalised souvenir, presented by their mentors. This was followed by a group photograph in the school greens, a cake-cutting ceremony, and a scrumptious lunch, leaving everyone with treasured memories and the promise to reunite again in the future.

The event concluded with a valedictory address by Ashutosh Verma, expressing gratitude to all contributors and participants.

In the end, the alumni also took part in light hearted games and outdoor sports, 

Milap 2.0 was an unforgettable experience, rekindling old friendships and strengthening the bond between alumni and the school. The event truly captured the spirit of Salwan – a place where memories are made and cherished forever.
