HERITAGE WORKSHOP

A total of 07 students visited SPS Gurugram on Friday, 27 December 2024 to attend the Heritage Workshop on Tikuli Art, Eco Jewellery and Kantha Work. The workshops were conducted by Padmashri Ashok Kumar Biswas,  Artisan Ashutosh Kisku and Artisan Sakina Khatoon respectively. The students had an engaging experience wherein they got the opportunity to try their hand at embroidering intricate kantha works and weaving palm leaves into interesting ornamental designs. Surely the workshop helped these students learn to appreciate traditional Indian art forms and enhance creative skills. Students also got the unique opportunity to interact directly with artisans, learning the stories behind the crafts and the intricate processes involved. They witnessed live demonstrations and engaged in guided practice, experiencing the joy of creating art that reflects India’s rich heritage.
