Orientation Programme – Desh Aur Hum 3.0
The National Academy of Direct Taxes in collaboration with Salwan Education Trust organised an orientation programme, ‘Desh aur Hum- 3.0’ on Tuesday, 6 August 2024, at Lotus Valley International School, Sector 126, Noida. The programme witnessed participation of teachers and students from schools in Noida, joining in person and many schools from across the country, connecting virtually.
The event began with an inspiring address by Shri Paramjit Khanna, Secretary, Salwan Education Trust, discussing the crucial role of taxes in providing revenue for governments to fund public services, infrastructure, and social programmes. He stated that taxes promote economic stability, equity, and national asset development, contributing significantly to a country’s progress. Further, he encouraged students to actively participate in the online competitions of Desh Aur Hum 3.0 centered around the theme “Sachet Bharat, Samridh Bharat – Empowering Nation Building”. This helped students become aware about their role in Nation Building & Development by being a Tax compliant citizen, and participating in making India a Global power.
Shri Mahesh Shah, IRS, Principal Additional Director General, NADT in his keynote address praised the students for their energetic and innovative minds, emphasising their role as ambassadors in spreading awareness about the significance of taxes in nation-building.
The event concluded by Capt Richa Sharma Katyal, Principal, Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar providing information pertaining to inter-school competitions, such as event formats, activities, timelines, registration procedures, and all other essential details, was disseminated and a vote of thanks.
