Technovation Challenge
Team Salwan Innovators, consisting of Jigyasa Gupta, Ahana Salwan, and Nirvani Sharma of 10 A, have developed a prototype, devised a user adoption plan, and presented an idea to raise awareness about Gender Equality (SDG4) as part of the Technovation Challenge. Registered girls identified problems in their community and created a mobile prototype solution named ‘Samanta’ to address and empower women and eradicate female foeticide.
This supportive prototype aims to raise awareness about female foeticide and skewed sex ratios internationally. It features a map to help families locate PNDT approved clinics in their locality, a myth buster to eliminate orthodox beliefs, an AI chatbot named Gargi for answering questions, and a resources page containing links to scientifically proven articles. Additionally, it includes a helpline feature for anonymous reporting. The members learned how to communicate these ideas and translated them into a user adoption plan.
