BLENDED CAPACITY PROGRAMME- NAMAMI GANGE
A blended capacity-building workshop on the Namami Gange project was conducted at Salwan Public School for Class 7 students. The session, led by Dr. Shyamli Singh, focused on the cultural, ecological, and religious significance of the Ganges River, highlighting its role as a lifeline for one-fourth of India’s population. Dr. Shyamli’s presentation provided an in-depth understanding of the critical need for conservation and rejuvenation efforts for the Ganga, making the workshop both enriching and informative.
The students actively participated in a series of interactive and engaging games led by Ms. Monika and Ms. Himanshi. These activities were designed to educate them on water conservation while ensuring a fun learning experience. An exciting addition was the introduction of the Learning Management System (LMS), through which students could continue their learning journey beyond the classroom. By completing tasks and quizzes, they could also earn certificates, adding an element of achievement to their participation.
The four-hour workshop provided a valuable opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of the importance of the Ganges and the necessity of water conservation. It left a lasting impression, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to environmental preservation efforts.
